1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Contextify at contextify.ca ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Contextify is operated as a solo business based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada ("we", "us", "our").
2. Description of Service
Contextify is an AI-powered short-form video script analyzer. You can upload a video (the audio is extracted in your browser and transcribed), paste a script or a hook, or connect your YouTube channel to analyze a Short from its captions. The Service scores the words across five dimensions, identifies the weakest part, and suggests a rewritten hook. Depending on your plan, it also writes a ready-to-film script, captions, a content plan and a weekly niche brief.
The Service is designed for talking-head and voiceover video content. It is not designed for music-only, silent, or purely visual content.
3. Eligibility
Contextify is not meant for people under 18. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If we learn that someone under 18 has an account, we may close it.
4. Account Registration
To use Contextify, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, all activity that occurs under your account, and notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access at support@contextify.ca.
We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Plans and Pricing
Plus and Pro
Plus costs $14.99 CAD per month or $149.90 CAD per year. Pro costs $24.99 CAD per month or $249.90 CAD per year. Annual plans are paid upfront and renew annually. Their usage allowances refresh monthly. See pricing for the features and limits included in each plan.
Credit packs
Credits are a one-time purchase: $4.99 CAD for 3 credits or $9.99 CAD for 8 credits. One credit pays for one full video analysis, including its rewrite. A re-check of a new take of an analyzed video uses no credit, up to three takes per video. Credits never expire and are not a subscription. Members use their monthly allowance first; credits are used only once it runs out. A failed analysis returns its credit.
Seven-day Plus trial, no card
Eligible first-time members can try Plus for seven days without a payment method, with an introductory allowance: 3 standard video analyses, 1 deep analysis, 5 text checks, 1 content plan and 5 captions in one campaign. We email you a reminder two days before the trial ends. If you have not added a card, the trial simply ends and nothing is charged. If you add a card, Plus continues at $14.99 CAD per month until canceled. You can cancel, or pause a paid membership, in one click from your account. This offer is available once per member. Members who started an earlier introduction keep its terms.
Credits toward your first month
When you start Plus, credits you used in the previous 30 days are applied as a credit on your first Plus invoice, valued at the average price you paid per credit and capped at one month of Plus. This applies once per account.
Billing
Payments are processed through Stripe. The billing interval, currency, renewal amount and any applicable tax are shown before payment. Existing subscriptions and previously purchased lifetime access or credits retain their agreed terms. We do not store your card details.
Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, your access continues until the end of the current billing period. A paused membership is not charged and has no analysis access until you resume it. Credit packs are not refundable once a credit is used. We do not offer refunds for partial months. Refund requests for extenuating circumstances may be submitted to support@contextify.ca.
Price Changes
We reserve the right to change pricing. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect for existing subscribers.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Contextify to upload content you do not own or do not have the right to analyze, attempt to reverse engineer or copy the scoring engine, use automated tools or bots to run analyses in bulk, circumvent usage limits (including by creating multiple accounts), upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights, attempt to access other users' data or accounts, or interfere with or disrupt the infrastructure of the Service.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice or refund.
7. Your Content
Ownership
You retain full ownership of the videos and transcripts you upload to Contextify. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.
License to Process
By uploading or pasting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process it for the sole purpose of delivering the Service to you — specifically, transcription, analysis, and writing the scripts, captions and briefs you ask for. We do not use your content to train AI models.
Shared Analyses
If you choose to share an analysis, anyone with the link can view the snapshot you chose to share. You are responsible for what you share, and you can stop sharing at any time.
Video Files
Your video file is never uploaded to our servers. Audio extraction happens entirely in your browser. Only the extracted audio is temporarily transmitted for transcription and is deleted immediately afterward.
8. Intellectual Property
All elements of Contextify — including the scoring engine, interface, design, copy, and underlying code — are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written permission.
9. AI-Generated Content
Contextify uses AI (Anthropic Claude and OpenAI Whisper) to generate transcripts, scores, and suggested hook rewrites. AI-generated suggestions are not guaranteed to improve video performance, results may vary based on transcript quality, content type, and platform, and you are solely responsible for any decisions made based on analysis results.
Weekly briefs and trend examples use publicly available TikTok and YouTube videos, shown with links to the originals. Contextify is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TikTok, YouTube, Google or Meta. View counts and other statistics describe what already happened; they are not a prediction or a promise of the results you will get.
10. Connected Accounts
If you connect a YouTube channel, you authorize Contextify to read your channel and your Shorts with read-only access, as described in our Privacy Policy, and you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. We never post, edit or delete anything on your channel. You can disconnect at any time from the Connections page or from your Google account permissions.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that results will be accurate or meet your expectations. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Contextify and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim, or $50 CAD, whichever is greater.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Contextify and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
14. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing privacy@contextify.ca; see our Privacy Policy.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms limits any right you cannot waive under the consumer protection laws that apply to you, including Quebec's Consumer Protection Act.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a notice in the product at least 30 days before they take effect.
